Krehkosť

The fragility of the German artist Darja Eßer's paper objects evokes a kind of awe, even a slight fear, when considering whether to touch. A fear of leaving one's own mark on the structure of the material compounds with a desire for preservation of its original, fragile state, which exists on the border between dream and reality. Her objects, reminiscent of pieces of clothing, evoke an ephemeral sense of fragmented memories — their thin, translucent veils. They are surfaces that do not protect their contents but rather reveal and emphasize their fragility. Darja's objects carry an ephemeral lightness that touches the body metaphorically, like a delicate, fleeting shell. They create the impression of a transient paper border between inner and outer, through which the viewer's mind travels freely.

Krehkosť papierových objektov nemeckej umelkyne Darji Eßer vyvoláva akúsi bázeň až strach pred dotykom. Obavu nezanechať svoju stopu v štruktúre materiálu, ale zachovať ho v pôvodnom krehkom stave, na hranici medzi snom a realitou. Jej objekty pripomínajúce časti oblečenia pôsobia efemérnym dojmom fragmentov spomienok, sú ich tenkými priesvitnými obalmi. Sú povrchmi, ktoré obsahy nechránia, ale skôr odhaľujú a zdôrazňujú ich krehkosť. Darjine objekty obsahujú efemérnu ľahkosť, ktorá sa metaforicky dotýka tela ako krehká a pominuteľná škrupina. Vytvárajú dojem polopriepustnej papierovej hranice medzi vnútrom a vonkajškom, cez ktorú voľne cestuje divákova myseľ.
