My artwork emanates from the haptic sensation of direct contact with the paper material. This sensual encounter with the material’s organic texture awakens associations that lead me to the motifs of my drawings and paperworks. In their slight texture and airiness they can be associated with the act of breathing and refer equally to the body as a fugitive shelter during the journey of life. Proceeding from personal experiences of nature, traveling and relocations I contemplate my human condition of being a fragile and ephemeral entity. I think of the body as ”a shelter“, ”a home“ and a protective boarder. At the same time I am intrigued by the relations between its inner and outer space and moments when body-boarders become impermeable.
